Check Apache Configuration Files for Errors

It is highly recommended that network admins check their httpd.conf file for errors after making changes and before restarting the service. The config files are checked, however, this check will prevent the service from starting if errors are found. All configuration files should be checked prior to restarting the service.

[[email protected]]# apachectl configtest

If apachectl is not in your PATH, try running the following

[[email protected]]# /path/to/apache/bin/apachectl configtest

Replace /path/to/apache with the path to your apache directory.
